Ms Ong is an established banker with extensive experience in the financial and banking industry.She has served a long career path of 40 years with the Maybank Group, namely Mayban Finance Bhd & Maybank Bhd. Her last appointment was Vice President / Head, Mega Branch, Penang, the biggest branch in the northern region, comprising of Penang, Kedah & Perlis (2012 till 2019).

Ms Ong has held supervisory and leadership roles in various capacities ranging from operations, customer service, marketing and credit management for the last 40 years.

As Head of Mega Branch, she was responsible for the strategic planning to grow the Consumer & Commercial businesses especially in the aspects of lending, deposits & fee based income. These involved marketing, credit processes, business development, relationship management and most importantly ensuring compliances and asset quality for the bank.

Her years of service in the financial institution give her an advantage of wide network and connection in the business circle.

Ms Ong is a post graduate in Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a certificate in the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) while pursuing her career in the banking industry.

She is currently retired from the banking industry and pursuing her interest in financial advisory & consultancy.

Ms Ong has no family relationship with any director and / or substantial shareholders of the Company, Sanbumi Holdings Berhad. She has no conflict of interest with the Company and has no conviction for any offences within the past five (5) years other than traffic offences if any.
